About Coaching

Mood Ordering is my one-on-one coaching program, offering personal guidance in a non-judgmental space.

Do I Need a Psychiatrist, a Therapist, AND a Coach?

Mood Disorders are complex mental health conditions. A coach is one part of a team that can help support you.

A licensed Psychiatrist is a medical doctor who can provide an accurate diagnosis and evaluation. Psychiatrists review symptoms and adjust medications to help stabilize you.

A licensed Therapist focuses on healing past trauma and emotional issues. They work to help you understand and adjust to your diagnosis and to change your behaviors. Typically, a therapist sees you every 1-2 weeks and is not available between sessions.

A certified Coach focuses on developing coping skills, building healthy habits, and guiding you toward achieving specific goals. Coaches provide an additional layer of support for managing day-to-day challenges. Mood Order Coaching is available by email or text between scheduled meetings.

You may be best served by seeing a psychiatrist, a therapist, and a coach. This holistic approach is increasingly recognized as one of the most effective ways to help you manage your condition and improve your quality of life.

Can Mood Order Coaching Help Me?

Do you leave your therapist’s office with valuable new insights? Living with a mood disorder is hard – really hard. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed when your mood shifts and those insights don’t seem to apply to the real world. Mood Ordering can help! Coaching helps you transform those insights into usable skills for managing your mood disorder in your day-to-day life.

In the Mood Ordering program, we focus on taking action: looking for triggers, problem-solving, expanding your toolbox, and finding your community. Coaching teaches and integrates skills and techniques for long-term stability.

As your coach, I am your strategic partner, working collaboratively with you to overcome the obstacles presented by a mood disorder and access the life you deserve. We work together during your sessions, but you can email or text between sessions if you need encouragement or have questions about applying your new skills.

What Mood Order Coaching Doesn’t Do

As a life coach, I do not provide medical services, nor do I attempt to diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure any physical, mental, or emotional issues. Before you begin working with Mood Order Coaching, you’ll need to have connections with mental health professionals for deep-rooted issues, crises, and medications.

My services do not replace the care of psychologists or other healthcare professionals. Do not disregard medical advice or delay seeking it because of information you read on this website or hear in a Mood Order Coach session. Do not start or stop any medications without speaking to your medical or mental health provider first.

Mood Order Coaching cannot take any responsibility for the results of your actions, and/or any harm or damage you suffer as a result of the use, or non-use of the information available on this website or shared in a Mood Order Coach session. Please use your discernment and conduct due diligence before taking any action or implementing any plan or practice suggested or recommended.

I share educational and informational resources intended to help you succeed in implementing life changes. Your ultimate success or failure will be the result of your own efforts, your particular situation, and innumerable other circumstances beyond my knowledge and control. Because of that, I cannot make any guarantees about the results of the information provided on this website or shared in a Mood Order Coach session.
